Alejandra Pérez has the arguably bad habit of collecting anything from blown-out birthday candles, bird feathers, bits of conversation overheard during lunch the other day, glorified family folklore and whatever else she finds worth the while to document, praise,and preserve through various mediums which include printmaking, charcoal drawings and mock miniaturas. 

She holds a B.A. in Studio Art and Cultural Anthropology from University of California, Davis. As a twin, Arizona-California native, and churro enthusiast, she spends her time between teaching in Woodland, CA and her studio practice in San Francisco  where She served as a LatinX Teaching Artist Fellow with arts non-Profit Root Division in 2015-2016.  currently, she collaborates with Arts collective Aguas migrantes and is An MAT Candidate In the Teaching + Learning in Art + Design Program at Rhode Island School of Design.
